Traditional Festival
Every country has their own traditional
festival. Both Hong Kong and China will celebrate an old and traditional
festival called the Mid-Autumn Festival. It originates from an ancient legend
in China. In the past, people usually celebrate this festival by eating
mooncake while enjoying the moon. Nowadays, it becomes more important since
people take this as a chance to gather all the household
and have a family reunion. Beside this, some of the traditional habit or food changed
over the years. A modern mooncake called icy mooncake has introduced to the
society. As it is very popular, some people start using icy mooncake to replace
traditional mooncake. Nevertheless, children usually play colored lantern instead
of paper lantern. This is because paper lantern is light up by fire and colored
lantern is light up by battery. Therefore, it is safer for children to play
with colored lantern.
